New Release

When I got back from Thailand with 70% of my 3rd record done, I called on Paul Pfisterer, a good friend of mine, to lay down most of the guitars that are on, "iii". I got some gigs in Europe and it seemed only natural that Paul come with me for these shows and play guitar live as well. We were hanging in London with some down time between shows and we just started roughly working on some songs together, we liked what was coming out so we made the decision to make a record. We recorded the record at Pork Pie studios in Toronto over a period of a couple of months and just sort of took our time with it, let the songs unfold naturally. We have decided to self release the record under our own label name, "Deadly" and though it's not overly complicated, there are lots of little things that we have had to do concerning this release, hence why I have neglected this blog a little as of late. The record is going to be officially available in about a month from now but we put up a myspace page for those interested in taking a listen to a couple of the cuts off the record. www.myspace.com/miloshpfisterer. The record is called New Territory and it is a bit of a departure from my previous work in that all of the instruments are real. I played all the piano parts and drums live, and paul played the guitar, bass and organ. We got this really amazing cellist to play the cello parts, Coenraad Bloemendal, and there are some guest performances by Serena Ryder, and Rhonda Stakich.

It's so cool to hear your music stripped back like this. You said all the instruments are real - so what's going on at the end of So Ready?!
Digging the single tracked vocals in New Territory.
Can't wait to hear the rest. I'm ready to buy ; )

at the end of so ready, the instruments are run through some external delays some ring mods and some secrets. But the instruments are all organic. The cuts at the end are just edits...

Thanks for the reply!

So that's ring modulation getting all crunchy... Cool. I'm looking forward to hearing it @ 44.1k/16bit. Love your work.

Come down to Australia one day!

Nick.

That came unexpected, but I am really waiting for it :)

Sounds like if there is going to be more piano on this one.

Best wishes & regards

hmmm...when I hear your music I sense that your deep sensitivity to things has been your channel for creativity and "giftedness" where you are able to capture the true essence of a moment or an experience...however, at the same time this deep sensitivity has been your curse to both fear and feel shame and failure and create protective walls that shut you off from what is "real"...what is it that your are fearing is the question I hear being told to me when I hear you sing? Sound strange, but my hunches are rarely wrong...also this deep sensitivity - being a "gift" that it is, also makes you absorb and feel the emotions of others at a much more visceral level...

as for what you are saying Aronsh Moli, I think that's a longer conversation. Mikah, we will be releasing it may5th on itunes to start. Just see how that goes. There are 5 songs in Total. The drive, that again is a longer conversation...

But I am open to that.

Aronsh Moli says:
"I am open to that..."
I am assuming you are saying you are open to a deeper conversation on the things I have noted...sorry I probed too deeply...too much surging up...

I think you will create a really amazing song out of what may surge up...
