Interview with Woofmedia

It's an interesting thing being interviewed about the work I have created. I can't help but feel I am being vain for the simple fact that I am talking about myself for an extended period of time. At the same time, I want to be concise, transparent, articulate without pretense, and give a good interview. All self consciousness aside, I love the way in which it forces me to think about the music that I have created, be objective, it solidifies my own songs in my own mind. I guess it's kind of like defending a thesis for school without the worry of a grade. Here is a link to an interview I did with woofmedia. We talked for about an hour and then they edited it down. It was a lot of fun to do and though I am too nervous to listen to the interview myself, I thought I would do a little post about it here.

You mention that you are classically trained on the cello. do you happen to be trained in vocals or are u self taught? You have a very wide singing range. You're singing also has an Rhythm and Blues kinda feel.

I am trained in vocals, I sang in choirs as a young doot, girls choirs cause my voice was high. However the way I sing is not totally congruent with the style in which I sang while learning. I did these voice classes though while studying acting that were centered around finding your own personal voice, I feel this was a huge influence on the way I sing now.

Just finished listening to your interview with woof and enjoyed listening to your thoughts. I've been a fan for a couple of years now and am glad to hear your new work. I was also pretty pumped to hear your thoughts on working with Josh from TTA or Esthero as I am big fans of their music as well. I would imagine your styles and music talents would mesh well together. Thanks for the wonderful music.
